Hooked on Oasis - Coral Lovin'

Again... i've left it too long between blog posts. It saddens me that I haven't had the time to blog properly, however, I now do. FINALLY!

I even have a content plan going on... yippeeeee!

So let's get started...

When I stepped into Oasis, in Colchester, a couple of months ago I fell in love with their current trends, especially the beautiful coral colour. It's bright, it's gorgeous and it's the perfect end of summer/start of autumn colour. I knew right then that coral was a new and essential colour that I needed in my ever expanding wardrobe.

Moving House and Exciting Plans

Hello! I hope that you're all super happy and enjoying your weekend so far! I certainly am, it has been a long, LONG week...

However, I am really excited about a few things and I thought I'd share them with you. Firstly and most importantly, I am moving back out. I say back because I have actually lived away from home for the last two years; I was studying away at university. I then moved back home when my rent ran out I am now moving into a brand new snazzy flat and I LOVE it!

Floral Print Trousers

Recently I have been stepping away from my clothes comfort zone and trying new styles and trends. I have fallen head-over-heels with all things floral, especially printed trousers!

Book Review: The Fault in Our Stars

Now, I may be a bit behind with this one... however, when everyone started talking about this book I was writing my dissertation and finishing off my degree. And, if you're anything like me, once I start a book I cannot put it down! I did not need that distraction, that's for sure!

So, The Fault in Our Stars; where do I start?

Over all I thought the book was okay, the storyline was good and the characters were nice? Mmmm... it wasn't my favourite book of all time and I have a few reasons why.

A night away in the New Forest

At the end of last month I celebrated my 21st birthday! I had THE BEST weekend and I am so grateful to all of my family and friends for making it perfect :)

My birthday was on the Thursday and that evening I headed to Bath with my gorgeous boyfriend, Brad. We had a lovely meal in Browns - I had a burger and absolutely loved it! We met two of my closet friends for drinks too. A perfect end to a birthday bash!

I was spoilt rotten, I feel like the luckiest girl ever! One of my favourite pressies had to be my Jo Malone perfume. I am absolutely in love with the scent, it's incredible. The perfume is called Peony and Blush Suede and you can read more about the collection here. It's safe to say, I've been wearing it ever since. Thank you Brad :)!!

The next day Brad and I headed south, to the beautiful land of the New Forest. We'd never been before and we are big countryside fans! WE LOVED IT! It's so so beautiful down that end of the country, I highly recommend a visit. Here are some of my favourite photographs from our trip away...

(Does anyone else's boyfriend have weird habits? Mine wears his glasses on the back of his head...)

We sunbathed on the beach, we strolled with the horses and we ate chips with the donkeys. We walked in to a beautiful sunset and enjoyed the rest of our evening with a bottle of rose. It was a magical couple of days and a perfect way to celebrate my 21st.

Have you been to the New Forest? We want to go back and would love recommendations on what to do down there... restaurants to visit, walks that need walking and quirky little finds that you've all loved!

Until then though... over and out! xx

Pinch and a punch... third of the month!

Where on earth is this year going? I can remember Christmas like it was yesterday... this year is absolutely flying by! So, from me, pinch and a punch... third of the month!

This post is really just a quick hello! I started my blog eager to write lots with fabulous content and fun, engaging posts but it seems that I have stopped.... again. Slap on wrist for me.

I am, throughout August, hoping to update my blog much as I can - I'm even going to schedule in posts! I want to talk about a whole range of things, from my birthday and July, to the future and current pieces that I'm loving. I have lots of exciting things in the pipeline and I'm excited to share it all with you.

So, three days in... I am making a change.

However, until tomorrow, have a lovely evening and let's speak soon.

Over and out xx

Soap and Glory No Clogs Allowed - a skin saviour!

I feel well and truly back in the blogging game (three posts in!) I've always blogged, slowly, rather silently and on many different platforms. I feel so much more connection with this blog, I'm unsure why but... I like it! So... whilst I was sat contemplating my day, with a face mask on, I'd thought I'd tell you my thoughts on the Soap and Glory No Clogs allowed self heating mask. I can, from very present experience, tell you that I think it's fab!

The No Clogs Allowed mask is perfect for oily to combination skin. It deep cleans and melts away all the yukky bits that are stuck in your pores. Not only that but it's colour changing too. The mask itself goes from yellow to blue, whilst heating up on your face. It's like a mini spa treatment - oh so fabulous!

Now my skins not particularly bad but when it's having a bad day, it's a really bad day! I've found that this mask, well since I've started using it, has helped to keep my skin more level and I've definitely had less break outs. It's so easy to use, it only takes five minutes to work and you're good to go, ready to get on with the rest of your day.

I noticed my biggest change after using it twice.

The product is great value for money too. I picked it up for about £11.00 and I've just checked and you can purchase it in Boots for a similar price. I've used it about five times already, on my entire face, and my tube is still pretty full!

Today I have only used it on specific areas, my nose and my chin. I've put it on like this before and it's really helped to kick start my face into think 'CLEAN!' It doesn't dry out my skin either, which is great because I suffer with dry patches here and there. (Urgh!)

This product is fabulous, it's cheap and it's effective... oh and I love the fact that it heats up! Am I the only one who's drawn in by the gimmicky features?!

Time for me to wash it off now, it's been on a bit too long today! Whoops!

Have you tried this mask, what do you think?

Glastonbury Snippets

After finally recovering from feeling extremely ill when I got home from Glastonbury festival, I feel ready to upload my latest and second post. It will be a quick one showing you a few of my favourite images from the weekend.

I had the best of times, it was an incredible and busy weekend full of fun, food and lots of laughs. I went with my bestest friend, Izzy, from university and we had the greatest of times! (It actually turned into a weekend of quick selfies as the battery on my iPhone is awful!!)

On the first night we ended up camping very close to the Arcadia Spider - a HUGE party area. As much as we loved the atmosphere, us 20 year old girls just weren't cut out for the all-night-long raves.  (20 going on 70!) We moved to a much calmer field... miles from anything! We pitched for the second time and really began to enjoy the music.

Some of the best acts were Rudimental, Disclousure, Dolly Parton, Ed Sheeran and The 1975... ooo and Ellie Goulding was pretty fab!

I'd highly recommend going to Glastonbury, I can't even begin to tell you the extent of how much goes on. In every little nook and cranny something incredible is happening, in every area of the park. We were gobsmacked by the size and all the events, we couldn't have physically taken part in all of it and we were there Wednesday to Monday! We did however... brave the showers... a very silly and cold mistake!!

All in all I thoroughly enjoyed my time here, at my FIRST ever festival! I spent the weekend laughing, eating, singing and sunbathing (in between the rain, the hail and the thunder!) It was pretty darn fabulous! For a real girly girl... I wasn't expecting to enjoy it as much as I did so don't let the mud put you off. If anything... embrace it!!

Did you go to Glastonbury this year or are you planning on visiting a different festival? Let me know how you got on!

Glastonbury Wish List

One week to go... Glastonbury is creeping up on me VERY quickly and I seem to be the least organised person EVER. Unorganised to the point where I currently have no sleeping bag and no wellies, two essentials for any festival! Doh!

So instead of packing my rucksack and going to buy some funky festival footwear, I'm sat on my laptop browsing the Internet for beautiful things that I would purchase if I had unlimited money, just in time for Glasto!

Number one being this gorgeous skirt from Warehouse.

I've had my eye on this skirt for about a month now. I think it's the perfect summer must have! It's floaty, it's a light material and the pattern is right up my street - tribal without being too in your face.

I've seen this top paired with a yellow tee and it looked simply amazing, it really emphasised the yellow in the skirt. Picture yourself with a tan, this skirt, a pretty top and a cute pair of black wedges... yum!

Now, sticking with the tribal-y/aztec-y patterns, I absolutely adore this hooded scarf. Not to pair with the skirt, of course! But I think that this would look lush with a pair of denim shorts, flip flops and then a little white vest. It's the perfect item of clothing to 'bung' on without losing your stylish flare! Plus... it has hood, which is always a bonus.

Um... how cute is this bag?! One thing I'm really worried about is not having enough room to carry bits and pieces around with me during the day. I am definitely one of those girls who carries her life in her handbag. I have all sorts of treats in my various bags, from your typical makeup essentials to thousands of empty sweet wrappers and I don't want that to change for Glastonbury! I want a bag that's big enough to carry my water, my essentials and anything else I fancy that morning. I think that this is the perfect find.

Right... now is a good point to mention my crazy hair. I mean it, I have REALLY crazy hair. It's very curly and it's quite long at the moment which I absolutely love, however, curly hair... mud... and potential rain equals a very unhappy Sophie. Even more so, very unhappy hair!

I think something like this Topshop Heather Garland would be the ideal accessory for dealing with my massive mane. The thought of not washing my hair for a good few days fills me with disgust and, sadly, my hair doesn't appreciate dry shampoo. Any tips and tricks are very welcome?! A band like this would help me to keep my hair off my face too, which is essential if I want to see my favourite bands!

These are just a few of the items that I would purchase if a) I had the money and b) I had time to go shopping! Before Glastonbury, however, I have a million and one things that I need to do starting, perhaps, with finding a pair of wellies and a sleeping bag!

Are you off to Glastonbury this year and if you are, what's on your Glastonbury wish list?
